There is no other body feature that symbolizes feminity and sex appeal more than a woman’s breast. Only when their breasts fully develop in their puberty, do young girls feel that they are entering womanhood. Fuller and rounder breasts emphasize the harmony of the female body, artfully blend with various types of clothing and create a harmonious relationship with the partner. Even more regrettable and disappointing is for those who have underdeveloped and asymmetrical breasts caused by body changes such as pregnancy, breastfeeding and weight fluctuations. Also unequal or proportionally too large breasts can stress a woman and affect her quality of life.
There are dozens of reasons why women are not satisfied with the appearance of their breasts. The shape and size of a woman’s breast differs very much with other women and is subject to very personal feelings. We understand that undergoing breast procedures such as breast augmentation is a very personal decision and requires enough time for a woman to think about. A consultation concerning the changing of the breast appearance is not only a very sensitive matter, but also time-consuming. Determining the new size of the breast to be in proportion with the body will make the overall body shape look more balanced and harmonious. Your surgeon will consider several factors such as the characteristic of the surrounding tissue, amount of breast tissue, individual desires and expectations, implant type and last but not least, the feasibility. Also, your surgeon will conduct a brief medical history to determine if you have bleeding or clotting disorders, or any medical condition that can compromise the outcome of the surgery. If you are taking medications, herbal supplements, vitamins and other substances, you will be advised to stop a few weeks before your scheduled surgery.
A few days before the surgery, one of our staff will notify you regarding your schedule and the time you are expected to arrive for your surgery and will go over last minute instructions.
Your nurse or surgeon will advise you to adhere to the following pre-operative instructions:
Breast implant surgery requires general anesthesia to minimize discomforts.
After the anesthesia has taken effect, your surgeon will create a small incision in your breasts to make a pocket for the implants. Your surgeon will correctly place the implants and make modifications if necessary. After proper verification of implant placement, your surgeon will now close the incision using dissolvable sutures. Sterile dressings will be applied to protect the wound. After the operation, you will be observed in the ward for the first 24 hours.
Breast implants can offer long-term results; however, they are not designed to last a lifetime. You may require another surgery after 10 to 15 years to replace the implants. Also, in case of implant rupture, a revisional surgery is necessary to replace or remove the implants. Breast augmentation results can be immediately visible after the surgery. Once swelling has fully subsided, the final results are noticeable.
In general, the total cost greatly depends on several factors such as the following:
It is recommended to talk with your surgeon regarding his or her fee as highly experienced surgeons can charge higher rates for their services. Also, make sure to review your health insurance policy regarding the costs that they will cover.
